Hereditary is the debut of Ari Aster as a feature film director, and just as it was challenging for the director, so it was for the team who worked on its advertising campaign. The horror-drama film was acclaimed by critics in its first festival exhibition, with Tony Collette's performance receiving particular praise. The challenge was set: to make a campaign so good as the film to make a huge awareness for its release.

Conceptually, we used religious and occultist aesthetics alongside with the family relationship element of the story to make a better contact with the movie's main theme. The intention was to use this dark and confusing atmosphere to grab the moviegoers' attention by triggering their curiosity.
